Well we have had a lot going on at the nature reserve this year, and we couldn't do it without the help of all of our volunteers, those on the committee and of course those that turn up to help on events and workdays!
You can still do your part even if you are just going for a stroll
Dog walkers please make sure you pick up after their dogs - we have provided some poo bags on the back gate by the field - just incase. We have had children from groups standing in it, not nice and quite dangerous.
Let us know what you have spotted on the site.
Post your pictures , queries, concerns to our facebook page.
Spotted any invasive species?
Let us know what you love or would like to see on the reserve.
We are always keen to see pictures from the reserve - especially if you are happy for us to use the pictures too!
So why a blog? We already have facebook / twitter (probably should have instagram / flickr....
Well....
We have potential funding to help improve the lifespan of the pond itself and enable it to be used by the community for years to come. It will improve access, increase biodiversity and develop the fishing access points too!
This will mean a relatively large and very exciting restoration project that I intend to record in blog form here!
I look forward to letting you know more as / if things progress. So watch this space for further news!
Thanks
Steve
